This original work was written by Chris Carr about the incarnation of nature, the Green Man, also known as Jack in the Green or the May King. The Green Man and is still popularly depicted as a man’s face encircled with leaves and is often found as sculptures or masks on garden walls. The Green Man is an ancient symbol of the cycle of life. This song takes us through the seasons of life and nature with a bouncy waltz accented with violin and flute.
